Why Bullet Journaling is Good for Mental Health

You’ve seen my various bullet journaling posts each month, but something I haven’t talked about much is why I bullet journal. Very simply, it has done my mental health a world of good. Here’s a few idea of how bullet journaling can have a positive effect on your mental health. If you don’t already keep a journal, then why not have a go! Getting creative First and foremost, the creativity aspect. Getting creative, whether that be via an ‘adult’ colouring book or bullet journaling, helps you focus and relaxes your mind. You can unplug from everyday stresses and have some much-needed you time. Put on some calming music and add…

April 2019 Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

Who’s ready for the weekend? If you’re planning on spending the next couple of days getting organised for April (yes, April, how are we here already?!) then join me for our monthly journaling session. Here’s my April 2019 bullet journal setup. Enjoy! April 2019 Bullet Journal Setup Theme This is my first April having a bullet journal and I couldn’t resist going for the April showers theme. I haven’t done blue as a feature colour yet, so rain provided a good opportunity. We’re not letting the April showers get us down though, in fact quite the opposite. I added this wonderful Winnie the Pooh quote, “When life throws you a…

    March 2019 Bullet Journal Setup

Ok, where did February go? It’s been a good month, what with seeing family, visiting the Lake District (post coming next week) and a couple of blogger events early on. Nevertheless, it’s time to get organised for March now. I’ve got some more meetups next week and I’m coming up with ideas for B.L.O.G. Unwritten. If you haven’t seen on my social media, I’m going to be the writing department lead for a new upcoming online blogging magazine! You can find all the latest on Facebook and Instagram. Please go and give the pages a follow if you can! Anyway, back to the bullet journal. Theme For my March 2019…

February 2019 Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

It’s February tomorrow, which means a new bullet journal spread is needed! I didn’t use my bullet journal as much as I thought I would in January. What with the power of technology, a lot of my planning is done online and I just use my bullet journal to jot ideas down. Nevertheless, I still like designing a spread for each month, purely as something fun and creative to do. It’s also very therapeutic. The February 2019 bullet journal setup sees some colour introduced, different from January’s monochrome theme. So, get your notebooks, pencil cases, washi tape and other bullet journaling supplies and plan with me! Title Pages Inspired by…

January 2019 Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

Happy New Year! Part 2 of my bullet journal setup for 2019 is here. My previous post included a year overview with a calendar and key dates section. This time we are focusing on January. If you are half-asleep from the late night last night, yet still want to do something productive today, this January 2019 bullet journal setup is a great way to have that fresh new year feeling, but in a more relaxed way while the hangover recovery takes place. January 2019 Bullet Journal Setup I’ve carried on with the monochrome look. After spending the second half of 2018 testing out lots of bullet journal designs, I feel…

2019 Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

Join me for my 2019 bullet journal setup! The end of 2018 saw a lack of bullet journaling. It was not very consistent. In 2019 I want to change this, as when I have a journal spread, my organisation level is far better. Rather than carrying on with monthly spreads, I wanted to start afresh in 2019 – albeit in the same notebook – and have some official ‘introduction’ pages, before jumping into January. I was inspired by Amanda Rach Lee after watching her 2019 setup video and have incorporated aspects of her design in my year setup. 2019 Bullet Journal Setup I really liked the simple black and white…

November Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

New month, new start. Getting back to the bullet journal in November. October’s bullet journaling proved to be pretty non-existent after a stressful September and I never got around to setting up a new month and sharing it with you all. However, I’m determined to change this for November and the design for this month is already taking shape. So, grab your cup of tea, pencil case and notebook, and join me for the November bullet journal setup. Let’s get planning! November Bullet Journal Setup Theme As it’s November, the main source of inspiration is fireworks. They’re colourful, fun and easy to draw. Fireworks can also be very minimalist, which…

September 2018 Bullet Journal Setup | Plan with Me

It’s a new month, which means it’s time for a bullet journal progress report. I’ve switched things up for September after a great deal of YouTube tutorial watching and Pinterest inspiration. From July and August’s spreads, I realised that bold colours weren’t for me and I prefer a minimalist, subtle layout. Without further ado, here’s my September 2018 bullet journal setup. It’s never too late to start a journal, so get a notebook and pen at the ready and plan with me. September 2018 Bullet Journal Setup Theme September’s layout is influenced somewhat by my birthday at the end of August and just not being able to resist stationery generally.…

Bullet Journal August 2018 Setup | Plan with Me

It’s bullet journal time! Today is a continuation of my bullet journal adventure. If you don’t have a bullet journal, but want to start one, there’s plenty of inspiration out there. Never fear though, you don’t need to be a master of brush lettering or an artist to start one. I am proof of this. News The major blog news this week, I am now self-hosted! How exciting! I’m looking forward to improving my blog quality and having access to some much-needed plugins. My new site is pretty much there, but I need to make a few tweaks such as changing A LOT of feature images, so if you come…

    June 2018 Favourites

Welcome to my attempt at keeping a regular monthly feature on the blog! After my May 2018 Favourites post, I am now having a look back at June, a month that has flown by. Despite the time disappearing before me, I still realised that I had a few favourites this month which I couldn’t ignore. Blogging Kind of an obvious one, but it’s true! After not blogging for months on end in 2017, then posting once in a blue moon in early 2018, I have really regained the blogging love! First and foremost, my reason for blogging is writing. I absolutely love writing, and whilst my freelance work is so…
