PlannerFest Inspired August Bullet Journal

Happy August! I love the new month, fresh start feeling. July was busy with a holiday and a couple of trips up north, and while they were all great, blogging did take a backseat. I’m back though, and have found some new motivation. My August bullet journal setup is also different this month thanks to a trip to PlannerFest.

I received free entry to PlannerFest. Please see my disclaimer for more.

PlannerFest was held in Manchester on Saturday 27th July and I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. It was basically a day for stationery and planner addicts like myself to get together. There were various stalls to shop from as well as talks and workshops throughout the day. My favourite parts were the brush lettering workshop and talk from Mo, the founder of Happiness Planner.

Full ticket holders were kindly given a gift bag to take home, full of lots of lovely stationery items to help your planning.

Something that I discovered was very popular was stickers. I’d never really thought about using stickers, apart from washi tape, but I saw so many planners with beautiful stickers, that I decided to give it a go for August.

Title Page

Sticker quote: Happiness blooms from within

I may have gone a bit overboard on the title page, but it’s summer and August is my birthday month, so it seemed fitting to something fun and bold.

The overall theme is pastel pink, but there are varying shades across the setup just because my own pens were different to most of the stickers.

I didn’t do the large calendar spread this month unlike July as I didn’t use it much last month, so decided to use the calendar and key dates as title decoration.

Weekly Spread and Notes

Whilst most of the stickers used came in the gift bag, I did buy these lovely weekday stickers from Harriet Wright designs. I then created my weekly spreads by cutting the pages, like AmandaRachLee’s July setup and added the dates for each week, but so you could still the day stickers no matter the week. On the other side of the weekly spreads, I created a notes page for every week using the dual font which received some good feedback from June’s setup.

Blog Goals and Posts

I kept my usual half page spread for both blog goals and blog post ideas. It just works well for me. I added some pink washi tape down the side for extra decoration.

Quote and Positivity Diary

At PlannerFest, Mo from Happiness Planner talked about how to gain a more positive mindset and I realised that was something I need to get better at doing. I saw this ‘daily positive thing’ page on Pinterest and decided to create my own version and write one good thing that happens everyday.

Pinterest is also my go-to for my monthly quote pages. After lacking some motivation blog-wise in July, I found this quote which gives me the motivation I needed.

I messed up the ‘r’ in tommorow, but decided to leave it as it would look messier if I changed it!

That’s my August bullet journal setup done! What did you think? Are there any designs you want to see for September?
