Net Zero Co Review – Zero Waste Shopping
I’m so happy that there are more eco-friendly shops, both physical and online, popping up these days. It is becoming easier to develop a more sustainable lifestyle by investing in fewer, but long-lasting products, whether that is for the kitchen, bathroom or generally around the house. An online store stocking eco-friendly goods is Net Zero Co. I thought I would share my opinions on some of their products and you never know, you may be inspired to further your eco home transformation.
This post contains a brand collaboration featuring gifted items. All opinions are my own and 100% honest. For more information, see my disclaimer.
Packaging?
All of the packaging was fully recyclable and there was no plastic in sight.
Delivery time?
The delivery time from start to finish took about 2 weeks. I didn’t think this was too bad considering it was over the Christmas period and international shipping (this is one of my main issues with online stores, as much as I love the products you can get).
Portable Collapsible Silicone Mug
Shade: Grey Clouds
You’ve heard me ramble on about the amount of disposable coffee/tea mugs that thrown away every single day. It really does baffle me how people still get disposable cups, when there are so many reusable mugs on sale now. All you need to do is ask the person serving you to put your drink in your mug and not the disposable one.
Portable mugs, like the ones from Net Zero Co are a great space saver, as they collapse when you aren’t using them.
Portable Collapsible Silicone Coffee Mug
Being silicone does have its pros and cons. The downside for me with this style is that the heat protector can slide down the mug sometimes, so I would be careful if storing a full mug in your bag.
If you are taking a cup of tea out with you from home though, and then collapsing the mug, I think this is a great option.
Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Handle
Design: Grey Waves
I think this is my favourite item from my order with Net Zero Co. I pretty much just drink water and tea, and when I go out, I often take water with me.
Net Zero Co Stainless Steel Double Wall Insulated Water Bottle with Handle
This stainless steel bottle carries plenty of water, and the handle is an added bonus.
The designs are lovely too. I chose the grey style, which also features the phrase Less plastic is fantastic.
Stretch & Seal Silicone Lids
These silicone lids are a hit in my household. Cling film has barely been used since they arrived. I love that the silicone lids are microwaveable. Having previously been put off buying beeswax wraps and other eco alternatives as they are not microwaveable, I am so glad to have found these lids. You can also put them in the dishwasher. I am yet to experience life with a dishwasher though, so I can’t judge on how they survive after a wash cycle.
The Munchie Box – Stainless Steel Bento Box
This bento box was an extra surprise, as I did not include it in my main order and it was a kind add-on by Net Zero Co. I have not had much of a chance to use it yet, but from first impressions, it seems very strong and there’s plenty of space for an on-the-go lunch with a removable divider.
I have the 1200ml box, but there are also a few other sizes if it is too big or small for you.
If you are intrigued and want to try out Net Zero Co’s products, then I really do recommend them. Overall, I have been impressed with the quality so far. You may think eco-friendly products like these look expensive, but when they last you a long time, you soon save that money again.
Let me know if these products are your sort of thing.
