Autumn Beauty Favourites | Makeup Routine

Hello! How are you all? I’m not feeling 100% and am pretty sure I’m coming down with a cold. Autumn must definitely be here! I honestly have the worst immune system ever, so bring on the hot water and lemon.
Anyway, enough of me moaning. I recently acquired some new makeup and thought why not do an Autumn beauty favourites post? Whilst I don’t wear makeup too often and opt for natural looks, there are some products seeing me through Autumn, now that the summer tan has faded, and I go back to my extremely pale complexion.

Here’s my current makeup routine. I skipped a couple of products that are in my routine all year round, but these are the main ones for me. Disclaimer: I am not a makeup expert, so this is just the routine that works for me.

No7 Foundation Drops – Warm Ivory

no7 foundation drops

I’m a big No7 fan. It’s my go-to beauty brand. I feel it’s a good compromise between cheaper high street makeup and high-end products in terms of quality and price. The foundation drops are the newest product to hit the No7 shelves. You add the drops to your moisturiser to create your foundation. The result is lightweight, like a BB/CC cream (does anyone really know the difference?), but the more drops you add, the fuller coverage the foundation. I like it because you’re not covering your face in foundation as it’s essentially tinted moisturiser. I don’t tend to add primer beforehand as I would never use primer before moisturiser, but you can if you wish.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Skin Brightening Concealer – Ivory

Of course, after foundation comes concealer. This concealer by Rimmel isn’t high coverage and it doesn’t make those dark circles disappear, but I like how it just brightens the undereye area without looking too heavy on the makeup. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of these YouTube and Instagram tutorials where people cover their face with makeup. We all have dark circles, so why hide them?

The Body Shop Shimmer Waves – Bronze

I feel like I just discovered the full power of bronzer. I’ve used The Body Shop’s Shimmer Waves for a while now, but now it’s become my main contour product, as well as highlighter, blusher and eyeshadow sometimes because of the separate colours. However, when you blend them together, you get such a gorgeous bronzer. A really versatile product. This is the last product I use for my face in my makeup routine, except powder to set at the end.

bbrowbar Eyebrow Pencil – Cinnamon Spice

Ok, so I’m guilty when it comes to having loads of makeup past the recommended use dates. I honestly don’t know if this eyebrow pencil is still in stock as I got it in a Birchbox a couple of years ago. I’m still using it though and it does the trick! What’s more, cinnamon spice is a great shade for this time of year. Apart from a pencil to fill in the gaps, I don’t do anything else to my brows. No brow gel or anything.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Wow Wings Mascara

Unless it’s a special occasion, I don’t wear eyeshadow, so it’s straight onto mascara after brows.
It wasn’t until I purchased this mascara that I realised how bad my other ones were! The brush has a winged and curved side, perfect for adding definition and length to lashes. Even if I don’t wear any makeup, I’m still tempted to add some mascara.

Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm – Hibiscus

Last, but not least, lip balm is a must for the colder months. I love this tinted lip balm as it just adds some natural colour and keeps the lips moisturised.
