  1. Thank you for writing this!! One of the things I’m most worried about going to uni is the pressure to drink so it’s reassuring to read your experience. I hope my flatmates understand, I am worried I’m going to miss out on most of the socialising by not joining in with pre-drinks etc. but I’m going to join societies so hopefully I’ll make friends that way 🙂

  2. I love this, although im Doing uni from home, its so Good for people to know that You can stick to your preferences even when its unexpected. I never Used to drink and i was bullied for It in college, alcohol is definitely a choice and not one You should let others influeNce.xx

    • Absolutely! I’ve felt pressured to drink at times and it’s horrible. Always be yourself and do what you want to do. Anyway, being sober doesn’t mean you’re boring X

  3. I went to drama school so I never was able to do the usual ‘uni binge drinking’. Sadly you just turn to the alcohol once you’re out of alcohol and in the industry as a coping mechanism haha! Great tips! I think people forget all the awesome opportunities there are at university to fill your spare time, aside from partying all the time.

  4. I dont drink, and what i found worked best is to just be calm, but firm. For the most part, if i told people i don’t drink, they basically left me alone about it. (added bonus, more than a couple bars gave me free sodas as the designated driver!)
