It’s time for my July 2018 Favourites. Before we know it, the end of August will arrive!
One thing I notice with favourites posts is that beauty products feature heavily. My July 2018 Favourites prove this doesn’t have to be the case.
My July 2018 Favourites
Considering I spent the middle chunk of July 2018 in Devon, it’s definitely a favourite! We were lucky with the weather, which made a difference. In July, Devon and Cornwall are susceptible to rain, but not this time. My days involved admiring coastal views, swimming in the sea and eating A LOT of ice cream.
Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig
I have a weakness for Twitter giveaways. When I saw Ruth in Revolt running a competition to win Matt Haig’s latest book, I entered immediately. Finding out I won a copy was a lovely holiday surprise and I started reading it as soon as I got home.
What a book! I don’t want to say too much before the main review, but Notes on a Nervous Planet will change your life! It deserves a place on your bookshelf, as well as my July 2018 Favourites.
Mamma Mia 2
The feelgood film of the summer! I don’t know about you, but I’m bored of these superhero blockbusters. Mamma Mia 2 is a breath of fresh air. Some may say it’s cheesy, but you have to embrace that. My mum and I came out of the cinema singing and dancing. We need more films like this. I watched the first Mamma Mia afterwards because I was in full-blown ABBA karaoke mode.
Having a long summer allowed me to get to grips with blogging. My Pinterest account sat there sadly for the past few years and I decided to change that! July 2018 saw me reorganise my boards, promote my account more and join blogger groups.
These have been a great way to increase engagement and direct more traffic to my blog. What’s more, I discover new blogs on a daily basis and created a new board for my blog posts.
Pinterest is firmly on the July 2018 Favourites list.
Arbonne Day Cream
Ok, one beauty product appeared. I recently discovered Arbonne, a vegan, cruelty-free beauty brand. One of Leicestershire’s representatives very kindly sent me some samples to try, and the day cream is great. I loved that it contains SPF 20, ideal for the heatwave.
That’s all of my July 2018 Favourites. Let me know what some of yours are!
