Blogger Interview #12: Leighanne Sheila

Tissues at the ready, it’s time for my last blogger interview in this series. I have loved connecting with all of you, and reading your answers has been so interesting. Thank you to everyone who has taken part! This certainly won’t be the only series like this, as I love discovering new blogs. Gushing blogger moment over, as what better way to finish up this series than with the fabulous beauty blogger Leighanne Sheila! Her Instagram is a beauty blogger’s dream if you haven’t seen it already!

  1. First off, I have to say your images are beautiful! Do you have any photography secrets you are willing to share?

I love to take my photos in natural light so during the daytime is a hit for me. Especially during the summer we now have longer days so more time to take photos I suppose. I also filter my photos using my phone. My phone has DSLR so I don’t use any fancy cameras or anything like that. I’m pretty much simple when it comes to taking photos.
2) Makeup product you can’t live without at the moment?
I couldn’t live without foundation. I have worn it since my early teens and used to have bad skin. Foundation is a lifesaver for me and if its the right shade and full coverage I’m down with that.
3) Name 3 blogs you are addicted to.
I have absolutely loved reading blogs at the moment. The 3 I always check daily are Gemma Louise, Pint Sized Beauty and Wear Daisy Went 🙂
4) If you could use 1 social media platform, what would that be and why?
This one is easy. It would have to be Instagram. I find it very user friendly and I would say looking at photos attracts me more than reading status’s if you get what I mean. Im more of a visual learner so looking at a bright, fun and colourful photo gets me every time.
5) What blog post are you most proud of and why?
I think I would have to go with a group of blog posts (if that’s allowed lol). I managed to complete blogmas last December and only missed one day. How I managed to do this around a full time job I’ll never know. Although I did pre-plan a lot of my Christmas posts and I was so happy with how they all turned out.
6) What future hopes/aspirations do you have for your blog?
Primarily I would love to see it continue. I love to write and I hope my readers see how passionate I am about beauty etc. When I started my blog I didn’t realise I would get to where I am now. I love surprises so I think I’m just going to see where it goes.
7) We all lead busy lives. Can you recommend a quick make-up routine that’s easy to fit in to a hectic schedule?
I always go with brows, foundation, concealer, powder, mascara and a gloss if I’m really busy and got no real time to do my makeup fully. These products are basics for me, definitely essentials for when you want to look like your wearing makeup but your not sort of thing.
If you want to see more of Leighanne Sheila, you can check out her blog and Instagram (links in introduction) as well as Twitter, Bloglovin’ and Pinterest
With that, we now say goodbye to blogger interviews for now. Don’t worry though, there’s plenty of exciting content coming your way. I recently did a poll on Twitter about what blog posts you’d all like to see more of, so there’ll be some year abroad preparation posts and more mental health and wellbeing content in the mix!
What’s everyone up to this weekend?
