Catch Up Time!

Bonjour mes amis!

Yes, I know. My blogging track record is not impressive. The last couple of months have been spent with my head down revising and doing assignments, but I have officially finished my exams, and I guess that means my 2nd year of uni?! Where on earth has the time gone? It was only yesterday that I was getting my A Level results and checking the UCAS website to see if I got into Leeds!

Whilst I am beyond relieved that the stressful studying is over for another academic year, the long summer is slightly daunting. Nevertheless, I have got a few exciting things in the pipeline. As well as continuing my freelance writing job, I will be doing some work experience for the Leicestershire section of Muddy Stilettos, helping out with the event guides. I’ll let you know more when things kick off!

Despite wanting to keep myself busy and fill the summer months, I am looking forward to spending some quality time at home, as from September, I will going on my year abroad! I’m excited, yet nervous and the prospect of not seeing my family and home for a good few months up until Christmas is very weird. With the British Council Language Assistantships, which is what I’m hoping to do, you don’t find out the region where you’re going until June, and then the actual school anytime up until the end of August. Needless to say I will turn into a ball of stress in August, madly filling out paperwork  once I know where I’m going in France. After arriving in France though, it will be full on travel blogger mode no doubt!

In other news, on Thursday night, I went to a Liz Earle blogger event near me, which was extremely interesting. The event is one of a series about summer beauty, so I’m looking forward to the next one this Thursday, but in the meantime, I will be doing a blog post about the introduction session tomorrow.

That’s it from me today. I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend and enjoy the sunshine (if there’s not a storm like there was last night). For those of you still with exams, you can do it!

I’m going to see Solo: A Star Wars Story tonight. No spoilers please.
