My Top 10 Binge-Worthy TV Series

After a day of working, whether that is a full-time job or finishing a tiresome essay, I love nothing better than curling up with some tea in my Little Miss Sunshine mug and watching an episode or two of a good TV series. Here are just some of the fantastic shows I have come across. Sadly, they are not all on Netflix, but they are all easy to watch somehow.

The Vampire Diaries:

Ok, I may be a bit TVD obsessed at the moment because the series has just finished after an awesome 8 years and I am rewatching old episodes to avoid the fact it is over! Nevertheless, if you fancy some good supernatural drama, then an unbeatable choice!

Gossip Girl:

It is hard to believe Gossip Girl ended in 2012! I do miss Serena and Blair against that stylish New York backdrop. When I’m feeling nostalgic, I will watch GG and enjoy the Gossip Girl blasts that cause havoc in the Upper East Side.

Pretty Little Liars:

2017 not only brings the end of TVD, but Pretty Little Liars too! This is just not acceptable. I only started watching PLL in the past couple of years, because I was stupidly under the impression that it was a copy of Gossip Girl with the main characters receiving mysterious messages from an unknown source. IT IS NOT! The two couldn’t be more different. If you haven’t become addicted to the lives of Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily, then there is still time to get hooked before the final 10 episodes on 18th April!

Riverdale:

I don’t know if Riverdale has the binge status yet as there has only been 7 episodes, but if you think you will have a TVD CW hole in your heart, definitely fill it with Riverdale!

How I Met Your Mother:

This brilliant sitcom is a great choice if you are in the mood for something light hearted. Join Ted, Robin, Barney, Lily and Marshall for some seriously heart-warming comedy.

The Big Bang Theory:

Honestly, I just love the characters in TBBT. They all have their own quirky character features, and I look forward to how Sheldon manages to annoy the group in each episode! A sitcom that provides simple, great quality entertainment.

Friends:

Do I even need to explain?!

90210:

I thankfully managed to finish watching 90210 before Netflix removed it. One of those awesome nostalgic teen dramas to get your teeth into.

Friday Night Lights:

If you have not heard of Friday Night Lights or have not bothered to watch it, WATCH IT, WATCH IT NOW! What I love about this drama, is that it so believable. The casting is superb and the chemistry between the characters is truly beautiful. When I watch it, I feel like I could be watching a documentary, not a TV show, because everything about it so real and honest. It is a shame that it only lasted 5 seasons due to low viewership. The critics praised this show heavily, some even saying it is one of the best TV programmes of recent years. THEY ARE NOT WRONG!

This is Us:

This is Us is a new one for the past year and it is incredible. The storyline is so strong and the acting is fantastic. A mesmerising new drama to feast your eyes on.

Let me know what your go-to series is!
