It’s official! Today, I got up nice and early and went to the gym! I think it was about the third time I have ever been in my entire life, which looks really bad, but I am not your typical fitness fanatic. Plus, with the amount of walking that I have been doing at uni I haven’t really felt the need!
Nevertheless, I knew that off-peak gym membership was included with my accommodation, so I thought I might as well make use of it. And…I enjoyed it!
I decided to use the cross trainer as I have already been on one before, so thought I should start off with something familiar. The machines in the gym are really good though, because the screens are also the same for other equipment, so I can use everything. I did not get bored either as you can get Youtube on the screens, and even follow a virtual scenic route. I decided to go with lakes and mountains.
Obviously, this is quite sad of me writing about this, but for me it was a real achievement and I definitely will be making it a regular thing. It is once you actually start exercising that you realise how good it makes you feel!
