Uni Room Inspiration

As I am moving into university accommodation in about three weeks, I am starting to think about how I can turn my room from a blank canvas to a place that I would be proud to call home. Given my love of all things Parisian, Mica Peet and Dave Thompson, my birthday on Friday was a great way to kick off the decor ideas.

Storage is an essential when it comes to uni. You have to be organised as rooms are typically quite small. Thanks to my auntie and uncle, I now have another gorgeous Parisian storage box. The suitcase style makes it extra special!

My Dave Thompson collection is rapidly growing. Currently totalling 25 postcards, 2 coasters, a Notre Dame keyring, this sophisticated London tote bag and Sacre-Coeur notepad, I think it’s time to say I am quite obsessed.

Last, but certainly not least is the latest addition to my Mica Peet craving. My mum and dad bought me this stunning cushion, which really shows the beauty of this badger print, which I also have on my necklace. The colours complement each other so well and will definitely act as a colour palette when I buy some new bedding!

Your university room does not have do remain a basic room, with no sense identity. It is a home for a whole year, and I want mine to belong to me and not just merge into the string of countless dwellers. Living in a city like Leeds, I think it is essential that my room acts as a sanctuary, as a means of escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Lovely blog!! I got a thing for France as well. It’s that je ne sais quoi. I can’t really explain it. I’m following you as I write 🙂 Good luck with uni and the progress of your blog 🙂 xo Jey.
